FOB is one of the commonly used trade terms in international trade, the full text of FOB is Free On Board, i.e., Delivered On Board (designated port of shipment), customarily known as Delivered On Board (DOB) at port of shipment. According to this term transaction, the buyer is responsible for sending a ship to receive the goods, the seller should be in the contract port of shipment and the specified period, the goods will be loaded on the buyer's designated ship, and timely notice to the buyer. When the goods are loaded over the side of the ship, the risk is transferred from the seller to the buyer. When the transaction is concluded on FOB terms, the seller shall also provide, at its own expense, documents proving that it has fulfilled its obligation to deliver the goods in accordance with the provisions of the contract, and if such documents are not transportation documents, the seller may, at the buyer's request and at the buyer's risk and expense, provide assistance in obtaining a bill of lading or other transportation documents.
